TSK to Remain BYOB, Billy Goodes Space Has New Future

The owners of Thames Street Kitchen transferred their new beer and wine license to a future restaurant.

A play of liquor license music chairs has come full circle.

When Billy Goode’s closed its doors in May, its Class BV was sold to Jo’s American Bistro and Jo’s American Bistro transferred a limited beer and wine license to Thames Street Kitchen (TSK).

Despite the transfer, Thames Street Kitchen, located at 464 Thames Street, remained a BYOB restaurant, citing space constraints as well as a new restaurant opportunity for the owners— the Billy Goode's space, located at 29 Marlborough St, became available.

On Wednesday evening, Newport City Council unanimously approved a transfer of the license to their new, future restaurant, which will be called Mission.
