The Spice & Tea Exchange Toasts New Location

This weekend, they'll be celebrating a grand opening with special samples and tastings. You'll also get a free gift when you make a purchase.

The Spice & Tea Exchange of Newport has a new, freshly renovated home on historic Thames Street.

The store closed up for five days, and since then, they've steeped a bit at 192 Thames Street, renovating the space beneath their original location for their new home, which sits comfortably on the ground floor next to Tervis.

"This new relocation has made the store more accessible and convenient for guests strolling the waterfront," The Spice & Tea Exchange said in a release.

The new layout will still include their signature 18th century trading post theme with wood floors and rustic displays. But on the ground floor, they'll now be able to capitalize on passers-by with open doors to draw in guests with beckoning aromas.

The store is planned to be open by Friday (June 13) and they'll be celebrating a grand opening with special samples and tastings next weekend on June 27 to 29. You'll also get a free gift when you make a purchase.

Hours are Mon-Thu, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fri-Sat, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
