The Chanler Moves Up US News' Top Hotels list.
The Chanler came in at number 93 on their list.
The Chanler at Cliff Walk has reclaimed a spot on the US News and World Report's latest Best Hotels in the USA, climbing to number 93. Last year, it was slated at number 132.
"Nestled on the shore just steps from Newport's popular Cliff Walk, The Chanler's strongest feature is its breathtaking scenery. But there are plenty more compelling reasons to bed down here. The rooms are beautifully designed and named for royalty—the Louis XIV and the English Tudor suites are among the most dramatic,” the travel guide describes the hotel.
Amangani in Jackson, Wyo. was voted the number one hotel in the country.

The Chanler tops their list of best hotels in Newport. Ocean House in Watch Hill is the only other Rhode Island representative on the list of 164 hotels, coming in at number 161.
US news uses an “unbiased methodology” in selecting the top hotels based on “reputation among professional travel experts, guest reviews, and hotel class ratings.”

Last November, the Chanler was named a "Breathtaking Clifftop Hotel" by CNN Travel.
The Chanler’s restaurant The Spiced Pear has topped lists of its own, including GQ’s 20 Best Burgers for its “Not Just a Burger” burger.
