Provencal Bakery Coming to Thames Street
The popular Middletown eatery has applied for a victualing license with the city of Newport for 469.5 Thames Street.
Provencal Bakery is coming to Newport.
The Newport City Council tonight (April 23) will vote on a victualing license for the new bakery, which is planning to open at 469.5 Thames Street.
Owner Michael Joseph Nardolillo submitted the application for the bakery, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seat 16 customers and feature a retail bakery, to-go items and a market.
Provencal Bakery operates a spot on Aquidneck Avenue in Middletown that can be described as a modern retro diner in addition to a place to get bakery items.

Plans on file at City Hall show a cozy floor plan with four tables in front of a pair of deli cases and a service counter.
