Newport Storm is Official Beer of Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade Again

And a new fundraising push comes along with the sponsorship.

Newport Storm announced it has returned as the official beer of the Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade this year.

It will be the third year in a row for the local microbrewery and this year, they've donated hundreds of parade shirts, thousands of pint glasses and kegs and cases of Spring Irish Red Ale to the parade committee to help raise money.

“I cannot over stress the importance of the support we receive from Newport Storm, without which we could not focus on the hospitality aspect of this annual event,” said Parade Chairman, Dennis Sullivan, in a release. “We hope that everyone who enjoys the parade will join us in tipping a glass of this flavorful, authentic brew in support of the event.”

This year marks the 58th iteration of the parade. And on March 9 through 13, the committee is partnering with local pubs and restaurants for "pint night" fundraisers. Order a Newport Storm Spring Irish Red Ale and you'll get a pint
