All Aboard! The Newport Ice Cream Train

The Newport Dinner Train's newest subsidiary, the kid-friendly "Ice Cream Train" will be making its debut this weekend! Gather your family and friends and be a part of this unique adventure,

After 16 seasons of success, the Newport Dinner Train is expanding, and on June 15 will commence its newest kid-friendly endeavor, “The Ice Cream Train.” Boasting to be Rhode Island’s only moving ice cream parlour car, The Ice Cream Train is a unique parlour car that will offer on-site soft serve ice cream sundaes sprinkled with your favorite toppings, pizza and a soft drink. On Friday evenings, the “Candyman Conductor” will be a feature entertainment, making your frozen treat even sweeter with song!

The Ice Cream Train will be departing from Newport Station, and like the Dinner Train, taking passengers on a 90-minute narrated train journey along scenic Narragansett Bay. Starting on June 15th, The Ice Cream  Train will run on Thursday’s and Saturday’s at 11:30am, and Friday’s at 6:30pm; with classic ice cream parlour outfits, an air-conditioned rail car and free parking, The Ice Cream Train is the perfect way to embark on a tasty family adventure on the Bay.
