Local R & B favorite Wayz and Means will headline the 16th annual Swing into Spring celebration on hursday, March 29, at the Atlantic Beach Club & Pavilion. A popular wedding and party band, Wayz and Means is renowned as Rhode Island's hottest 9 piece Old School, Hip Hop and Funk dance band.
"We're delighted to have Wayz and Means perform at Swing into Spring," noted MLKCC Executive Director Marilyn Warren. "Their high energy funk, rock and soul sound is sure to be the highlight of our biggest fundraiser of the year."
Wayz and Means is headed by lead singer and co founder Will Worthy whose soulful voice and natural charisma have brought him opportunities to open for national recording artists such as Train, We The Kings, Alexa Ray Joel, Matt White, and Tower of Power. Will's talent, charm, and unique way of bringing any crowd together combined with co-founder Rob Degnan's drums and the band's strong rhythm section guarantee an evening to remember.
Swing Into Spring is one of the most anticipated events on Newport's yearly events calendar. The celebration will include a full night of great music by Wayz and Means, with plenty of dancing, buffet dinner, and a cash bar, along with highly entertaining live and creative silent auctions.
