Troop 3 Scouts Advance in Court of Honor
Troop 3 Newport held a Court of Honor recently at the Elks Lodge #104 to celebrate the achievement of their 28 scouts and reviewed recent events and the upcoming schedule with the family and friends that gathered.
Nineteen scouts earned forty-six merit badges and nine scouts advanced in rank.
A point of pride centered around the number of Eagles recently awarded and those soon to be earned. Three scouts, Grady Bolan, Hunter Veeck and Sean King recently earned their Eagle award, scouting’s highest honor and Brian Rayner, Alex Sink and Scott Murphy are planning their Leadership Projects. Those planning their projects explained them to the full house and asked for their support during these upcoming spring weekends when they are to be completed. Brian and Scott will do their projects at Fort Adams and Alex will complete some deferred maintenance projects at Equality Park on Broadway.
