Newport Traffic: What's Your Pet Peeve?

What's the worst thing about Newport traffic: bad drivers, bad roads or bad design? Let us know what you think.

Written by Patrick Luce

For some, it's the intersections. For others, it's the speeding vehicles. For many, it's the extreme congestion in parts of Newport.

For residents trying to get in and out of the city, the biggest pain in the neck might be the lines of cars going on and off the Newport Bridge, the tie-ups at America's Cup Avenue, or the gawkers slowing down to stare at the Bellevue mansions.

What's your absolute least-favorite aspect of getting around Newport in the summer?

Is it speeding vehicles who go way too fast? Motorists who roll through stop signs? Drunk drivers? Mopeds? Motorcycles? Or just roads that weren't designed to handle the volume of traffic they experience, especially in summer months?

Sound off in the comments section and let us know what you think. For bonus points: Tell us if you believe drivers from any particular state are the worst offenders.
