Bristol & Warren ART Night Receives 2014 Season Grants

Warren, RI:  Art Night Bristol Warren, is the happy recipient of two legislative grants from our Warren representatives.  Rep. Jan Malik and Sen. Wally Felag both successfully secured grants totaling $1000 from each the House and the Senate allocations for a total contribution of $2000 toward the ongoing programs of Art Night Bristol Warren,  Art Night is now in its third season with an opening kickoff reception on May first at the Brass in Warren.   Galleries, shops, restaurants, along with many artists, will open their doors to visitors beginning in May through September on the last Thursday evening of the month.

Mr. Malik who has represented the town of Warren for many years said,  “This grant is to award you on your past efforts, and support you on your continued efforts of stimulating our economy through the arts. This past year the State legislature has sanctioned all of Rhode Island as a sales tax free zone in support of the arts.  Both Senator Felag and myself wish Art Night the best, and hope that these grants will assist you in your efforts to open the arts of both Warren and Bristol to residents and visitors alike.”  Sen. Felag added, “What we began at the State level to recognize the importance of the arts, is demonstrated in the awarding of these grants.  Have a great season!”

Art Night is especially grateful to have been acknowledged this way by our representatives.  The program for the 2014 is still developing and will include more performing artists than in previous years.  “The arts are for everyone to enjoy and learn from.  We have a lot of fun putting the Art Night program together each year.

We are looking forward to a great third season. “ said Stephan Brigidi, a Co-Chair of Art Night from Bristol.  “Thanks so much to our representatives, Jan Malik and Wally Felag.”
