- Newport's 375th Anniversary logo was unveiled by Mayor Harry Winthrop on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It was designed by David Narcizo, owner of the local company Lakuna Design.
- The official website of the event, www.newport375.com, built by Peter Martin, went live. It will house the calendar of events, photos of Newport and recognize sponsors.
- Free daffodils were distributed to Newport businesses and residents to help beautify the city for the anniversary.
