 al Society will present Undressing History: What Women Wore in the 18th 
 Century at the Colony House on Washington Square. A living history inter
 preter dresses from her undergarment\, known as a shift\, into a working
  class women's gown\, then redresses into an upper-class gown&nbsp\; whi
 le describing each garment&rsquo\;s material\, manufacture\, and functio
 n. Each article of her clothing is a meticulously crafted period reprodu
 ction. General admission costs $5\, $4 with Winter Festival button and $
