The group seeks to collaborate with the community to create local solutions that meet local environmental\, social and economic needs. \;\nNumerous area busine sses have generously donated many items for a planned silent auction and raffle in support of Sustainable Aquidneck and its planned programs.\nT he group&rsquo\;s foundation project for 2012\, Island Community Farms @ Green End\, is being established on eight acres of land owned by the Aq uidneck Land Trust. Sustainable Aquidneck has secured a five year lease to allow development of independent micro-farms\, a community garden\, a Permaculture food forest\, education heirloom and educational gardens a nd an experimental farm.\nDonated items and services will be used to rai se money for projects aimed at enriching and strengthening our community .
