More About Saint John the Evangelist
Located in The Point neighborhood, Saint John the Evangelist (St. John's) is an Anglo-Catholic parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island. The church welcomes all to attend and join and offers traditional Anglican services in various formats including Low (said) Mass, Sung Mass and morning and evening prayer. The church was founded in 1875 when Peter Quire offered his home in The Point for services when a mission was started there. The Zabriskie Chapel, which is a redstone building built in 1894, is open for meditation and prayer daily. The facilities are available for weddings and other events.
