More About Brenton Point State Park
Brenton Point State Park offers expansive space for lounging, picnicking, fishing and hiking. The park sits on the former grounds of one of Newport's premier estates. The rocky edges are frequented by sunbathers and fishers, while the large grassy area is a favorite of picnickers and kite-flyers. The park is the home of the annual Newport Kite Festival. Brenton Point State Park is maintained by the Parks and Recreation division of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
