DESCRIPTION:On August 7\, 2012\, Flickers celebrates its 30th Anniversary
  Year and kicks-off its 16th annual Rhode Island International Film Fest
 ival (RIIFF) in Providence\, RI. This week-long celebration of independe
 nt cinema and film arts is New England's largest film festival and only 
 Academy Award (i.e. "Oscars") qualifying event. Out of the 7\,000-plus f
 ilm festivals worldwide\, only 75 of them share this distinction. In add
 ition to film screenings\, the festival will feature the return of the R
