  Jamestown Arts  Center in Jamestown\, RI on Wednesday\, August 15 from 
 6-8pm to celebrate  the work of the artists in BIGGER: Glorious Objects 
 and to learn more  about the show&rsquo\;s concept from the curator\, Je
 sse Smith. Artists and  curator will be in attendance to answer question
 s and engage in a  dialogue with the audience.  In the words of the cura
 tor: &ldquo\;The resulting miracle of an artist&rsquo\;s creative commit
 ment often appears through beautiful\, skillfully constructed  forms. To
 day\, such objects bear close scrutiny\, signaling authenticity  and val
 ue amidst a noisy culture of received ideas and fashionable  clutter. Ev
 en though recurring waves of conceptual trends eventually  become obsole
 te. What doesn&rsquo\;t change from year to year\, decade to  decade\, m
 illennium to millennium is beauty found in objects created by  skillful 
 hand\, eye\, and commitment.&rdquo\;  BIGGER: Glorious Objects runs thro
 ugh Aug. 22. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday\, 10am-2pm.
