DESCRIPTION:Once every four years\, Swedish-American singers from across 
 the United States gather in convention to share their love of Swedish an
 d American song. &nbsp\;This year\, we are fortunate to have this event 
 in our own backyard. &nbsp\;The American Union of Swedish Singers (or AU
 SS) will converge in New Haven from June 26-30\, with a public Grand Con
 cert with 300 singers to be held on Friday evening\, June 29 at 7:30 pm 
 in the beautiful Lyman Auditorum at Southern CT State University\, 501 C
 rescent Street\, New Haven. &nbsp\;A guest chorus and two guest conducto
 rs from Sweden will participate\, including the leading conductor and pi
 anist\, H&aring\;kan Sund\, and conductor and composer\, Lennart Johanss
 on. &nbsp\;This is your opportunity to experience the incredible beauty 
 of the Swedish song literature and American songs as well. The last time
  this event was held in Connecticut was 1978\, in Bridgeport.&nbsp\; Tic
 kets are available through Lyman Center (203-392-6154) or at the door: $
