"I know nothing"… Hillary lies, the Ambassador dies

Hillary repeatedly said she didn't know the attack was pre-planned and well orchestrated by AlQaida.  She didn't know Ambassador Stevens' was worried about security.  She knew nothing of this when she and Obama filmed a commercial decrying and blaming an anti-Islam video which she said precipitated the attack. She knew nothing

But, now seems that the State Department was watching the raid on the embassy in Libya on CCTV in real time, and repeatedly refused Ambassador Stevens' call for more security.

The Beauty Part...The only way to save Obama is to let Hillary slide slowly under the bus, which you can be certain David Axelrod and Michelle Obama know.  (They've always hated her anyway.)  Will Bill and the national Clinton political machine fight back?  You bet they will.

This promises to be the most intriguing internecine political war ever fought.  The question is, how long can it remain under the radar?  In today's world, not very long, I suspect.  Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.  I can't think of any group of people I'd rather see try to destroy each other.

This could be on a par with the political rivalries of ancient Rome. And the wonderful thing is that they're all dangerous Democrats.

Can someone please tell me what "pre-plan" means? Or do we mean "plan/planned/planning?" I know it started with news media reports, but I am getting nervous that it was pre-planned that the rest of the uneducated world would start doing it!

Chuck
I know what you mean. Planned/pre-plan etc..used incorrectly. When a military action is taken with an intent, military (or militant) leaders use a coarse of action analysis (COA) in military terms. There are usually a number of COA's 3,4,5 whatever. Then the mil leader makes a COA decision based on how many "good things" and how many "bad things" can happen. The pre-plan/plan just means it was planned no matter what you call the planning process. Hope this helps a little.

Naome-
have to agree that the CCTV in real time is new to me. Never heard of it so far. If Ambassador Stevens or staff called for more security is yet to be ascertained. I wouldn't make a conclusion yet based on that. I do agree that clinton is responsible for whatever action was taken and that obama is responsible only through vicarious liability.

Leaving 16 trillion dollars of debt, and 125 trillion in unfunded liabilities for future generations to pay of is unconscionable. We have a moral obligation to fix this mess and make American a great nation again. We can never fix SS. and Medicare while carrying this debt load. Do your part Vote Smart.

Well we now have the emails proving that the people in the embassy wanted help which was denied. We also know that the administration was watching this go down in real time from a drone. We also know that the administration blamed a video for this for over two weeks by going on tv shows and rose garden speaches. We also know there is a political prisoner being held in our country for a lie. People this President needs to be voted and if not he needs to be impeached and maybe even arrested for treason.

Right - the classic Right Wing approach, if your stalling of legislation fails, indict over any suspicion raised by "un-named sources" if that doesn't work, question the authenticity of his election. If that doesn't work, invoke 2nd amendment solutions.

Hardly. The NewsCorp axis would like to foist this to the faithful, but no.
http://www.archives.gov/education/lessons/watergate-constitution/

What you call rambling is more like cleaning up after a tractor trailer overturns.
In this blog, that trailer was hauling mostly trash. Cleaning up trash is a messy business. Given that so many misconceptions are tossed off on this blog as if they were incontrovertible fact - it may appear as rambling.

Most of the wildest claims feel that way, to me. Teasing out the truth may involve delving into difficult, interconnected problems - too big for Beck's Big Board.

FYI - That's what GB does? - grownups call that "ranting".

"RI is going to carry him, ???, so why bother?"
I suppose it's like therapy for cranks.

I'm intolerant of this hopped-up version of confirmation bias - it's as if the Obama
detractors WANT to believe the worst.

"Again, all-or-nothing thinking generally goes with intellectual fraud. If a system is untestable, it's because its proponents fear testing. By contrast, I'm confident enough in liberal and scientific values that I'm happy to see even partial adoption. Even a little freedom is better than dictatorship. Even a little science is better than ideology."

This lawless administration that is ruining our country needs to go. I have never seen a President lie so much, lose so many people in an administration, and continues to run off at the mouth and blame others. He is so incompetent to hold this office. The last time we lost an ambassador was during Carter's administration. Carter was the worse President on record but this clown will easily surpass this. We have lousy leaders that are more interested in partisian politics than fixing the problems this nation and state faces. We also have terrible leaders at the state house. Voters complain about the high taxes, can't find a job and government corruption. This will continue if you keep electing the same people. It's time to get out the brooms and clean house!

It's not worth debate on these blogs because:

A) Too few of the posters actually understand basic economics, even at a household level,

B) will admit that both parties contain political opportunists who are quick to press an advantage without thinking about consequences,

C) argue from ideological points of view rather than facts.

With that said, thank you to all who occasionally say something that is relevant to this moment in history, and not a rehash of history at a time in 1980 when our accumulated national debt in this nations entire history was below $1 trillion.

Times have changed, and the debate has to change along with it.

In Alinsky's own words;

“I’ve never joined any organization — not even the ones I’ve organized myself,” Alinsky told Playboy in 1972, shortly before his death. “I prize my own independence too much. And philosophically, I could never accept any rigid dogma or ideology, whether it’s Christianity or Marxism…The greatest crimes in history have been perpetrated by such religious and political and racial fanatics, from the persecutions of the Inquisition on down to Communist purges and Nazi genocide.”

Saul Alinsky, interviewed in Playboy 1972

"These people were never vetted by the main stream media."
The Obama candidacy beat the Clintons. If any party apparatus could unearth hidden weaknesses in the opposition - it was the Clintons.

If that's so, no coverage will be possible if all the principals died.

If you're challenging the veracity of sources, what criteria apply?

I would suggest that if a fact can't be verified, and the presentation is damning

the problem right now the progressives are dividing us at every turn man vs woman gay vs. straight democrat vs. republican people we are all supposed to be Americans! We are all supposed to defend OUR Constitution we ALL need to keep our leaders in check. Things now are getting out of control due to political correctness And eventually it will destroy us from within if we don't stop it now.Our very foundations of faith, family and Country are and have been under atack since the 1960's When Communists put out there Agenda for America. We shouldn't bash other people because their views don't line up with theirs if we won't listen to them and seek TRUTH because as it has been said the TRUTH shall set you free! When we see truth it is known immediatly. But when we refuse to listen we stay in the dark. Truth drives out darkness.Whenever I ask someone on the left if they have watched someone or something they don't agree with I get the same answer no (blanking way) WHY IS THIS? My theory is they are afraid of the truth this is so sad to walk around with only a certain way of thinking. Our schools are failing us by not teaching our children to be open to different facts and come to their own opinions so sad.

Here's the essential objection I raise to what is being touted as investigative journalism - evidence from un-named sources that is not independently corroborated is being used to further an agenda.

If Glenn Beck (for example) makes a claim and then backs it up with another
claim that can't be independently verified - that's not corroboration.

It's suspicious, if you're remotely cynical.

I'm not claiming that Newshound is a source for data points in the Benghazi
compound debacle - rather that they're an aggregator that doesn't swallow
any fantastic story from Fox without verification.

They're just the first to pop up on a search, as they're most active.
If you doubt the veracity of them, and their claims, feel free to debunk those
that you can prove as false.

That's what they do with Fox 'News' on a regular basis.
They're good at it, as they've had so much practice.

It's not as if everyone chiming in here is chanting "HareKrishna" or "We follow our leader like mindless sheep" according to some script written by Rachel Maddow.

More often, it's a direct link to some outrageous pap smeared by Fox.
Just look up the screen - it's more of the same.

Here's an article by Juan Williams who is a political analyst for Fox News Channel. He shows how criticism of the Obama administration about Benghazi are "based on deliberate misinformation" as part of a political campaign. I can't imagine that makes him very popular with his friends over at Fox.

He won't get fired because fox is fair and balanced. And theblazetv is run by its subscribers but started by Glenn Beck because he got sick and tired of the bias on the main stream media. He reports stories after full investigation and even then he tells peole to check out the stories themselves and don't just rely on him. If he is wrong he corrects it and i've only seen that happen a couple of times and the stories weren't wrong there was a minor detail that needed to be corrected. He has no agenda he cares for the America our founders created and not the progressive (communist) way we are heading. He is a true patriot and a man that has helped thousands of people with his charitable organizations. But the progressives don't like that because they believe we didn't build this and we can't do anything without big brothers help.

"And theblazetv is run by its subscribers but started by Glenn Beck because he got sick and tired of the bias on the main stream media."

I suppose Fox wasn't generating sufficient phony outrage for his taste.

"He reports stories after full investigation and even then he tells peole to check out the stories themselves and don't just rely on him."

And yet, you do. Here's a tip - if the claimant of an unsupported outrageous claim
can only provide "un-named" sources or "off the record" citations, it's not credible.

"If he is wrong he corrects it and i've only seen that happen a couple of times and the stories weren't wrong there was a minor detail that needed to be corrected."

I refer you to your recent American history, Joe McCarthy and the Red Scare.
Glenn Beck is flogging the same dead horse, and those gullible enough to forget

In my opinion The problem here on those discussing Benghazi is that some here love to quote problem and actions of other Administrations. Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2. Have nothing to do with any of this. Quoting and arguing the past is ridiculous when discussing the Obama Administration. Bottom line is the actions by Obama’s Administration are his alone and he is responsible for all Foreign policy as well as his appointee’s. That is exclusively under the purview of the executive office per the Constitution.

To Glenn Beck; if watch him you do your own research. When he has Guest like the family members of those killed, I believe what they say was said to them because they met with the Administrations people. Fox News is not the same as its pundit arm of The 5, Oreilly, Hannity Susturn etc. They are opinion shows period. The many links on these post for the most part are also opinion blogs, orgs etc.

Lorraine is right on the Congressional hearing, it is a crime to lie to Congress. Why anyone would dispute testimony given there by Official is beyond the pale. Ask Libby what happens when you lie? Prison.

One thing not in dispute for me is the Adminstration is either lying on this issue or holding back for political reasons. That is an issult and disgusting to those brave Americans who died in this terrorist attack as well as the attack at Fort Hood which Obama still calls workplace violence. Disgusting also. Just my opinion anyway.

It's getting deep in here. That is most DEFINITELY in dispute.
Given that Darrell Issa is the same attack dog that went after Attorney Gen Holder,
it's just more of the same - a return to the Ken Starr days.

Republicans are using the death of a Patriot to make political points.

That strikes at the heart of the matter. Obama has been treated differently than every previous President. I would claim that the interference run by this Congress, intent on bringing down a clean operation like the current administration borders
the traitorous.

These hyenas have been grinning at this administration from the beginning - more anxious to take Obama at every stumble than to rebuild the country after 8 disastrous years under Bush 43. The sad part is that there is a vocal minority of the population - largely retired - cheering them on.

Just search "Ft. Hood" or "workplace violence" and you'll see the ringing echoes
of this vendetta, and the measured, sober response of the Department of Defense to avoid changing the course of a Court Martial in progress.

Make no mistake, the GOP is intent to steal the thunder of this administration and is willing to use the suffering of the armed forces, diplomatic corps or any victim.

It's craven, and beneath the American ideal.

You wouldn't say that to my face.

Perhaps, in your limited lexicon, the word you sought was "incensed".

Do you find most people who agree with you are perfectly sensible, even clever?
Do you find that those in disagreement must be either defective, demented or
delusional? That's confirmation bias.

I refer you to the claim made by the OP and the inference that the State Department denied assistance to the Benghazi compound when it came under fire.

Nothing to date indicates this is remotely true.

Call me crazy, if you like - it is madness to insist on a clear reading of this - which
is not promoted in the 'opinions' tossed around with such conviction on this page.

He is well respected from both sides and as far as I know has never been accused of being partisan. With that said he was the first to report on the fact that US officials knew it was an al-Qaeda affiliate within 24 hours of the attack even as the Obama administration was still pushing the silly you-tube video narrative.

"Hit the road Barack"
19AUG2012 as it's cover piece? You think the editorial stance of that publication has no bearing on any of the contributors? Do you think that the editorial staff has no control over the tone, content and depth of submissions?

Why is it that the Liberal stance in defending this administration from what amounts to slander is "slanted" or "leaning" and something so obvious as this is "un-biased" and run without an agenda.

Come on - just look at the cover...

I again refer you to their Niall Ferguson cover. If you don't consider that is both partisan, and slanted -right on the cover - what is your definition?

Again I say, does anyone honestly believe that today's editors neither direct the tone of stories nor exert pressure on their staff? That seems naive, to me.

@margaret - if you can't deal with the issues, and the abuse of facts to make a

You're right Katherine most hypocritical poster on here as usual is NL. When you try to dispute the actual persons involved at a Congressional hearing and blame the questioners or something someone got away with decades ago etc as a reasoning why her hero's should get away with or a pass now. Something wrong with that mindset.

Didn't know all the posters her were media persons and their opinions need to have citations and references when commenting as an opinion.

Webster; Definition of OPINION

1. a: a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter.

It has become an exercise in futility to even post a difference of opinion to NL. It is not debate it is an invitation to get slammed with nonsense links of other opinions, and request for proof. This is not a "Court of Law" nor a "Grand Jury" proceeding. It is the personal opinions of posters.

6 weeks after this attack and this Administration still can't admit a video had nothing to do with it or it was a terroist attack? In my opinion they are lying through their teeth. If any Administration did this I would say the same thing. NL would say I am a Tea party member and insinute a racist as she has stated before that the teas party is. That is the old race baiting trick so prevailent in the DEM party today. Very sad indeed.

No need to reply NL, I allready know what the answer is lol.

I can suppose that there is a gigantic space monkey circling the dark side of the moon that influences the weather - but cannot offer definitive proof. Same thing.

While “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” definitive claims of malfeasance place the burden of proof on the accuser.

Do you find that only intelligent people agree with you? Do you find that everyone in disagreement is an idiot? I define idiocy as an inability to deal with facts.

If you can't present them - yet insist on their veracity - that's a faith basis.

From the OP -
"But, now seems that the State Department was watching the raid on the embassy in Libya on CCTV in real time, and repeatedly refused Ambassador Stevens' call for more security."

There is still no evidence of this - no denial of aid, nor refusal of assistance.
The Issa Inquisition is determined to find this, but as the OP assert, it has not
been proven true.

I think this was a CIA OP gone horribly wrong and a faction of the Gaddafi regime
exacted it's revenge using their local sources. I don't think that this administration
denied calls for assistance or watched it go up in flames on CCTV.

That is the essence of the original claim, and the supposition behind the Issa Inquistion that is looking to damage the President immediately prior to the election.

'Just like Carter sending Sea Hawk (Sea Hawks cannot be used in a sand enviroment obviously) Helicopters into the Desert to rescue the Iranian Hostages."

Now, you're claiming expertise into Desert tactics, and comparing a rescue operation to the storming of a Villa? What part of this doesn't read directly like the Fox script being touted? If you're agreeing with something that SOUNDS correct, but has no proof behind it, that's confirmation bias.

That's what I'm on about - the willingness of older people to goose-step in time

@ b kcaj and backassing.
So you think this person naome is a great debater? Why? Because she starts every point with the line Prove It? Her debate style is the exact opposite of the people she is arguing with. Someone comes up with an article from a conservative blog or news site and she counters with articles from liberal sources. What this person is not smart enough to know is that if the President is not re-elected, she will become Joe and Jack and all others who grasp for anything negative about an incumbent President whether truthful or not. I remember the craziness: The Clintons killed someone over Whitewater, George Bush was responsible for Hurricane Katrina, President Obama was not born in America. What's next?

"What this person is not smart enough to know is that if the President is not re-elected, she will become Joe and Jack and all others who grasp for anything negative about an incumbent President whether truthful or not."

That's a supposition, and presumption to know another's mind.
Let's get something straight - I'm no fan of Obama.

If an open forum willingly prints grand claims that cannot be proven, then it's open season, and the noobs deserve no quarter. This steady diet of biased assertions, half-truths, and outright fabrications don't originate from Liberal sources.

"Her debate style is the exact opposite of the people she is arguing with."
Quite right, I like facts. What has happened to the Obama administration since the Fast and Furious inquiry looks exactly like what happened to Clinton when the
Whitewater grand jury couldn't find anything - it's a witch hunt.

I say again - this sort of political gutter brawling doesn't come from the Democrats.

"I remember the craziness." "George Bush was responsible for Hurricane Katrina,"
I remember watching a city drown while our National Guard was deployed in Iraq.

If we're going to judge Obama by what happens on his watch - the same criteria applied to previous administrations must be observed.

We sat idly on the sidelines when the Tea Party came on for the half-time show and refused to leave the field. I want my country back, and hounding out propaganda
is a good way to start.

Here is my case in point. A recent headline from a conservative source read: GM profits down 14%. This was definitely a knock on the President's bailout of GM. A similar recent headline in a liberal source read GM posts 1.5B in 3Q profits. Which one was right. Well in a way they both were. While GM did post 1.5B in profits they were down from the same period a year ago when they were 1.7B. But they beat analysts expectations. This is one of the many ways media distorts the news for their own agenda. Neither one is right its up to you to decipher and not be blinded by party. In your lifetime b kcaj their have been many republican Presidents. Have you ever seen: The less fortunate receive no government assistance and forced to live on the streets, people of color forced to sit in the back of the bus, and a woman's only choice for birth control would be a coat hanger and a dark alley? Its just the same as now with a Democrat President we don't see the same fears of Republicans rampant throughout this administration. IE taking away our guns, more welfare, etc. They are all the SAME.

Thag no like scary black man? Given that so many of the Obama adminstration are holdovers from the Bush 43 admin - were they possessed by the Devil?

"If Obama gets elected Nov 6 he wil be sworn in... and Impeached"
I have no doubt that this do-nothing, McConnell-Boehner lead GOP is planning just that - intsead of attending the Nation's business.

I believe the core rage in Congress is that a junior senator jumped the line and
got his shot when they felt it was their turn, either to run or become king-makers.

It has NEVER been about what Obama does - it's always about who he is.

He's what America is starting to resemble, and tired old men don't like that much.

If the GOP caucus actively pursues impeachment of Obama, they will have discarded what remaining credibility they now hold.

"Even the main stream media have been forced to report on his shortcomings, lies, and deceit." For instance? Isn't that the job of reporting, to hold those responsible accountable for their actions?

If you don't recall the days after Lehman brothers got sold out, take a browse.

You mean anger that the most conservative voices insist on writing their own narrative
or denial that the facts being touted have precious little to do with what really happened? What is NOT surprising is how the same supporters of invading Iraq on a false pretext (Bush got a pass, for eight years) would consider this patriotic.

When terrorists hit the consulate in Benghazi, Romney and the Republicans couldn’t muster the decency or discipline to wait until the disaster was over before they politicized it by attacking the president, even while the fires at the consulate were still burning. Imagine if the Democrats had reacted the same way during 9/11. They would’ve been tarred and feathered and driven out of Washington on a rail. Yet the Republicans did it with impunity.

If you identify yourself, willingly, with the forces that have brought this country to the brink of financial ruin and actively engaged in undermining the clean up crew,
you are much like the GOP, liable and traitorous.

You either stand with US Americans, or against us.

"He is a total let down, a liar, and doesn't deserve the respect that the "Commander in Chief" should receive." Based on what, exactly?

Something you have seen, with your own eyes, lived with in your own house?
This sounds like gut-churning bias, at a base level.

You're moving the goalposts, as you can't answer a simple challenge to your assertion - "Make no mistake about it, he and his crew are incapable bad people. "

Why, you don't like the way they dress? Some policy they enacted?
Or is it you don't like the way this administration has been portrayed?

Those are very different things, in this the second dawn of Yellow Journalism.

"As far as NBC, CBS, ans ABC are concerned it was only when other news outlets investigated the Libya incident.." you mean when Fox started dancing on
Ambassador Stevens's grave, or the Woods senior interview on Glenn Beck?
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-14/libyan-ambassador-s-death-not-a-political-issue-says-dad.html

"... they forced into having to report it..."
Which has largely been refutation of the sensational coverage on Fox.

Even Geraldo Rivera is disgusted, and I didn't know that was possible.

Joe-It's one thing to hit an extra key when typing a word, and it's something completely different when someone such as yourself butchers the english language by not knowing the difference between the words "here" and "hear".

And you have the gumption to run for town council? You might want to re=think that plan Joe, and get your priorities in order, the first of which would be getting a high school education and learning how to write and spell.

Joe, congrats on your election to the TCC Liar's Hall of Fame. Which one was it that got you in? Was it the 22% tax increase or that municipal employees have annually gotten "double digit raises for many decades?

Joe-With election day quickly approaching, many voters continue to have questions about your experience and qualifications for town council. In order to give the voters the information they need to make a decision on Tuesday, could you please briefly describe your experience and educational background, such as post secondary education, masters degrees, fellowships, etc.

Your responses would surely help voters to make the crucial decisions they are faced with at the ballot box. Thanks for your help-enjoy your weekend.

Shouldn't you be helping your neighbors clean up, being a compassionate conservative and all? Is this fictional tripe the only assistance you offer?

You Tea Party hacks are a dead weight around the neck of a drowning Nation.
Go Galt, Dave, since you're already on an island.

William Cohen: "We have been saying for so long that government is the enemy. Government is the enemy until you need a friend."

You, and the mob you stand with, are no help to anyone.

Thanks, Dave. When ever I need to be reminded why the teabaggers are a national laughingstock, I'll remind myself that they get their "facts" from Fox News and your website "butthurt.co" (I'm not kidding, look at your post).
