As you probably know, Newport has seen two fires in the space of a week.
Thankfully, no one was killed or seriously injured.
However, many of those affected were renters and lost everything they own.
They are now faced with the expense of finding new housing AND replacing their TV's, computers, furnishings, etc.
Although nothing in the world can replace life, lost memories, pictures, and other personal items, you can protect your property with a simple (but rarely used) policy: Renter's Insurance.
We insure our cars, our health, and our lives. However, if you are renting, it is also important to protect the items you have spent your whole working life accumulating.
Many, if not all, car insurance companies offer renters insurance 'riders' for just a few extra dollars a month. You can also contact AAA.
Unfortunately, many people do not know these policies exist. However, I strongly urge renters to obtain them.
For a small investment you can protect that which you have worked hard to obtain, and give yourself some peace of mind.

i can't imagine not having renters' insurance - it really is inexpensive.
