What gives with those billboards on Wellington Ave. across from the Hibernian Hall, at Thames and Narragansett, and at the Thames end of Morton Ave. They've been there forever, yet I can't imagine that the advertisements they display produce enough revenue to justify their existence. They are a pox on an otherwise pleasant neighborhood. If you tried to put something like that up on the Historic Hill or the Point, the city council would shoot it down in two seconds. They got rid of the billboards on West Main Rd in Middletown at Oliphant Ln. BECAUSE THEY WERE UGLY. Too bad Newport city council can't do the same for us.

Why are the trash cans not near the benches at the Bus stops. I have watched people throw trash on the ground before boarding the Bus because the trash can is too far for them to walk. Just take a stroll by any Bus stop and you will see what I mean!
