Tuesday: Volunteers Needed for Book Fair, Pell Building Committee Meeting

Here's a look at what's going on around Newport today.

 
  1. Volunteers are needed for the Thompson Middle School book fair from May 3 to May 14. Volunteers are especially needed from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m
  2. The Pell Building Committee will meet at 4 p.m. at the Newport Area Career and Technical Center to discuss add alternates and updates on progress and timelines.
  3. There will be Mandarin lessons for 4 and 5-year-olds at 12:45 p.m. and for 6 to 8-year-olds at 3:15 p.m. today at St Michael's Country Day School.
  4. The Newport Public Library will hold PJ Story Time at 7 p.m. tonight.
  5. World Capital: A photography exhibition that reflects the people and places that truly define our global capital, will be on display today at 5:30 p.m. at Capitol Realty.
