- As part of Newport Arboretum Week, there will be a Tree Walk at Chateau-sur-Mer at 11 a.m.
- There will be another tree walk at Aquidneck Park at 6 p.m. followed by a showing of Taking Root: The Vision of Wangari Mathai, a documentary about Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangari Maathai, at the Newport Public Library at 7 p.m.
- The Newport Public Library will hold PJ Story Time at 7 p.m.
- There will be a Tai Chi Outdoor Practice Group tthis morning at 8 a.m. at the Norman Bird Sanctuary.
- Fourth-graders will visit Thompson Middle School today and tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

ive seen trim crews from city of newport driving around for 2 weeks now can anybody know when Scott Wheeler is going to have them mow and trim anything?
