The Chanler at Cliff Walk has been named to US News and World Report's latest Best Hotels in the USA, coming in at number 132.

"The Chanler's strongest feature is its breathtaking view and idyllic location. The rooms are beautifully designed and named for posh namesakes -- Louis XIV and the English Tudor suites are among the most dramatic. Guests praise the attentive staff and romantic, tranquil setting," the travel guide describes the hotel.

The Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C. was voted the number one hotel in the country.

The Chanler tops their list of best hotels in Newport and is the only Rhode Island representative on the list of 154 hotels.

“The properties reflected on this list are winners not only for their luxurious amenities, fine service, and lavish décor, but also for the way they showcase America's diversity,” the article says.

The Chanler’s restaurant The Spiced Pear has topped lists of its own, including GQ’s 20 Best Burgers for its “Not Just a Burger” burger.
