Salvation Army Offers Free Meals

The Salvation Army will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner until power resumes in Newport.

Salvation Army on Memorial Boulevard will be giving out free meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner for as long as Newport remains without power.

Meals are not limited to Newport residents, and will be served to all. Breakfast starts at 9 am, lunch at 12:30 pm and dinner at 5 pm. Each meal will run for approximately an hour, Kevin Johnson said.

"We have generators to serve meals, and we're getting more resources in too," Johnson said. They will also be giving out bottled water to those who have run out.

Anyone looking to volunteer, please contact Kevin Johnson at 401-575-3504.
