Quacking Rights, Duck Race Results Are In!
Over 300 people attended the 6th annual Middletown duck race Thursday evening.
There was a whole lot of quaking and flapping happening at Third Beach on Thursday evening during the 6th Annual Duck Race. If you have pictures from the event, please post them to our Duck Race Gallery!
Cris Offenberg, Chair of the Duck Race Committee, said over 300 people showed up for the event and they sold 630 duck raffles by race time. She estimated they raised around $6,000 for Middletown Public School programs.
"We are very appreciative of the support of our sponsors and the community to come out for the students of Middletown," said Offenberg. "It was a beautiful evening, with shell painting, face painting games, PCU give-aways and our mascot Quackers entertaining the crowds along with a guest appearance from Newport Gull's Gully who donated free tickets to baseball games to our children."
Below are the winners of the 6th annual Duck Race:
Note that we did not publish first names per request of the duck race committee due to the fact that many participants are children. If you would like 'quacking rights', by all means quack away in the comment section.
