Newport Police Log: Shoplifting Arrest
The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Lizaida Ramos, 25, of Newport, was arrested around 6:07 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, for shoplifting and resisting arrest charges.
Police were dispatched to TJ Maxx for a detained shoplifter. The loss prevention officer told police she had witnessed Ramos concealing children's clothing in her bag.
Ramos reportedly called the arresting officer a racial slur and did not cooperate with the arrest.
The above reports detail arrests made by the Newport Police Department. Descriptions of all events are based solely on police officer reports provided to Patch.

So tye her tubes along withthe rest of the wellfare class so theyll stop haveing kids that make my taxes go up every year and then maybe the government could balance the budget !!!!

I agree with the grammar! I agree don't have kids unless you can afford them! 5 kids at 25 yrs old is absurd! Where does she work? Where is the father(s) of these children? I agree tie the tubes!

Jolly roger..you speak as if you know she is on welfare and has a bunch of kids.. where did you confirm this info from? You can't even spell "tie" right! (Tye) how do you know she is not a sibgje mother of 1 -2 kids who was abandoned by her husband/partner and is having a rough time. Perhaps she has 3 kids and was going to school and working and became disabled by a medical disorder or accident. Or she could be a married mother of 4 kids; herself along with her husband laid off at the same time.
The point is you don't know why she did it. Perhaps God will allow you to experience a situation where you may have to choose to steal due to struggle or loss.
It amazes me how quick those in Newport who are well-to-do look down on those that live in assisted rent housing assuming every police story is some person on welfare. Stuck up I'd say. Live and let live.

Just because some people abuse the welfare system doesn't mean everyone on it does the same.
There are those who are welfare and go to college or other training. There are those that work while using welfare and slowly advance in their job until the need to use welfare to fill in the $$ gaps is not needed.
Ignorant people...I feel sorry for them...

Its not just welfare anymore, the latest scam is disability benefits. Convince a doctor you have some sort of physical or mental ailment and you get to drink at the trough like the rest of them.
