Newport Police Log: Protective Order Violation, Assault, Warrant Arrests
The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday
- Timothy P. Dwyer, 49, of Portsmouth, was arrested around 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, for a third-offense domestic protective order violation.
- William L. Freeman, 23, of 144 Van Zandt Ave., Newport, was arrested around 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, for an active warrant for failure to appear in court and a suspended license.
Tuesday
- Thomas H. Matthews, 43, of Middletown, was arrested around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, for a third-offense domestic simple assault charge.
