Newport Police Log: Group of Men Arrested for Blocking Traffic on Memorial Boulevard
The following information was provided by the Newport Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.
Five individuals were arrested around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, for putting trash cans in the middle of Memorial Boulevard and obstructing traffic.
Police found the group walking on Broadway and brought them back to the scene. There were six concrete trash cans spread out across the road blocking the eastbound lane.
Other Arrests
- Timothy K. Marks, 36, of 59 Ethel Dr., Portsmouth, was arrested around 2:10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, for an active warrant for failure to appear in court with the ability to pay. He was charged with resisting arrest.
- Amanda J. Olszewski, 27, of 11 Sherman St., Newport, and Timothy J. Martin, 25, of the same address, were arrested around 3 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, for domestic simple assault charges.
