Newport Police Log: 7 Weekend Arrests
The following is based on reports from the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Friday
- Luis A. Mojica, 21, of 30 Chapel St., Newport, was arrested around 10:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, for obstructing an officer and possession of marijuana charges.
- Ciearra C. Andrada, 20, of 7 Robert Douglas Lane, Newport, was arrested around 10:45 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, for a possession of marijuana charge.
- Jenna R. Jarvis, 18, of 7 Raymond Lane, Newmarket, NH, was arrested around 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, for a possession of marijuana charge.
- John G. Edwards, 26, of 39 Wellington Ave., Newport, was cited around 10:19 p.m. a liquor law violation.
- John W. Butler, 37, od 30 Pond Ave., Newport, was arrested around 9:25 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, for two active warrants.
- Andrea L. Sperl, 25, of 14 Dartmouth St., Newport, was cited around 10:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, for a liquor law violation.
Sunday
- Kupree Salley, 27, of Newport, was arrested around 12:29 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, for a domestic simple assault charge.

Looking, so I make myself clear and so you can understand what my point is.....read the police logs, criminals from 15 meeting street are getting arrested constantly! This has nothing to do living in a SHELTER!!! Got it.
