Missing Teen Last Seen in Newport Harbor
The 17-year-old was last seen on Monday night on a dingy in Newport Harbor.
A 17-year-old was reported missing around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, TurnTo10.com reports. He was last seen on a dinghy in Newport Harbor around 11 p.m. on Monday.
Crews have concentrated their search to the Goat Island area of Newport Harbor.
Theodore Oliviera's parents reported him missing to the Newport police, who then reported it to the Coast Guard. Read the full story here.
The investigation is ongoing, Coast Guard officials said on Wednesday morning.
“The Newport Police Department is also involved in an active investigation in the area,” Lt. William Fitzgerald said.
Anyone with any information about Oliviera should contact the Newport Police Department, he said.
