Lawyer To Be Arraigned in Navy Kickback Case

A Rhode Island lawyer is accused in connection with an alleged U.S. Navy kickback scheme.

 

Lawyer Mary O'Rourke is scheduled to be arraigned in court today on charges of conspiracy and theft of government property, reports The Providence Journal

O'Rourke, a former employee of Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow (ASFT), a Middletown company, is being arraigned in connection with an alleged U.S. Navy kickback scheme

Ralph Mariano of Virginia is also expected to appear in court on arraignment later this month. 

Mariano, 53, of Arlington, VA, a former engineer with the U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), is accused of accepting bribes as a public official from Portsmouth resident Russell E. Spencer

Mariano allegedly accepted kickbacks of naval funds from Advanced Solutions for Tomorrow.
