Some retailers said they were concerned about wind, even if they were higher up on the hill in Newport's downtown area.

Ocean Drive was flooded around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Although the water was calm earlier in the day, giant waves flooded the road later in the afternoon and into the evening.
Saltwater and seaweed flooded the streets on Ocean Drive in Newport.
The giant waves towered over the police, hurrying them into their cars.
