Joanne Taddei catches up with Councilman Justin McLaughlin on her way back from Walmart. Taddei has not owned a car in 5 years.
Greg Terzis (blue) and Ryan Paolo, both from Middletown, rode their bikes to school today.  Terzis will be a bike tour guide this summer. He said he has even figured out how to walk his dog on his bike, although the dog can't always keep up.
Chace Ashley says he rides his cruiser everyday as his primary method of transportation.
Students and parents at St. Michael's Country Day changed Bike to Work Day into Bike to School Day.
St. Michael's students park their bikes. The number of students who usually ride their bikes to school is around three or four.

Bike to Work Day is sponsored by the Rhode Island Bicyle Coalition and runs a series of events throughout the day.

You can still take part in the event! A bike fair, with music, food and fun will take place this evening at King Park from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
