All Pajamas Aboard The Polar Express

All aboard the Newport Dinner Train's Polar Express! Be sure to dress your kids in adorable pajamas, like these sets from Hatley.

On Saturday, the first train of the season will pull out of the station for The Polar Express aboard the Newport Dinner Train. This popular seasonal attraction includes the reading of The Polar Express book by the conductor as the train travels along the west side of the island. Guests will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies along with a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Each child who truly "believes" will receive a special gift from Santa. Just as the children in the book who take an unforgettable ride to North Pole, children on Newport's Polar Express are encouraged to wear their pajamas.

We headed down to Hatley at 101 Swinburne Row in the Brick Market Place to check out their wide assortment of original design seasonal and whimsical pajamas. For girls, we love pairing a classic story with the classic Snowflake Night Dress ($34.99); available in sizes 2-7. For boys, the Christmas Animals PJ Set ($29.99) is adorable and still wearable well beyond the holidays, available in sizes 2-12. Coordinating pajamas are available in different styles for every member of the family from infants to adults. Store associates warn that the inventory they have now is all that they'll have through the Christmas season, so visit the store as soon as possible for the best selection.

Not only will you feel good in your pajamas, but you can feel good about them too. Hatley has an agressive environmental awareness program. They strive to make all of their products from natural fibers and they are made to last so that they can easily be passed down from one child to the next.

The Polar Express aboard the Newport Dinner Train starts tomorrow and runs every Friday-Sunday through December 19 at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $29.95 for adults and $19.95 for children. Because this event is so popular, people are encouraged to make their reservations as soon as possible as spaces fill up quickly.
