5 Things: Farm to Table Dinner Series, Car Show Postponed

Here's look at what's going on around Newport today.

 

Fall Car Show postponed: The Fort Adams in the Fall car show has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 21, due to bad weather.

October Harvest: Chef Eric Zizka present a Farm to Table Dinner Series with local food and wine.Tickets are $90 and include a six course meal with unique wine accompaniments. RSVP to info@plantationcateringofnewport.com to reserve your seat at the table.

Vikings games: Boys Varsity Soccer has a match against Cranston East at home at 4 p.m. JV will play at 5 p.m.; Girls Varsity Volleyball is away at St. Raphael Academy at 4:30 p.m.

Newport at Night in Black and White: The Newport Public Library will exhibit images by eight members of the Newport Photo Guild who took  to the streets of Newport over the summer. The photographers capture images of life in Newport after dark. The exhibit will be on display during normal library hours until Oct. 31. 

Today's forecast: Cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of rain with a high around 70 degrees.
