The Newport Democratic City Committee will host a Get Out the Vote/Meet the Candidates event on the grounds of the Elks’ Lodge, Bellevue Avenue and Pelham Street, on Sunday, July 8, from noon to 4 PM.  Candidates for local, state, and federal offices will be present to converse with area voters.  Voter registration will be available.
