Drupal Connect Will Host Free Tennis Program This Summer

The Newport Junior Tennis League is a free tennis program for children on Aquidneck Island. The program's goal is to introduce children from diverse backgrounds to the sport of tennis. Once a week in the summer the league will meet at Rogers High School in Newport.

The clinic will include drills, games and tournaments. Each participant will receive a free racquet at the end of the season. One or two league members who demonstrate exemplary skills and dedication will win a scholarship for free private lessons and tennis equipment to help further their skills and potential.

The camp runs from Thursday, June 28 to Thursday August 2, 2012.

The Basics:

• Age range: 12-16 years

• Location: Rogers High School tennis courts

• Day/time: Thursdays at 11:00 am

• Instructors: Local volunteers

• Equipment: Racquets, balls, water, and camp T-shirt provided

**1 or 2 children that excel will continue to be sponsored by Drupal Connect and lessons at the International Tennis Hall of Fame will be provided through out the year.
